The front axle mainly consists of the front axle, kingpin, steering knuckle, brake assembly, wheel hub assembly, control arms, and tie rod assembly. The front axle is generally I-shaped, integrally forged, and has a through hole for mounting the kingpin. The kingpin hinges the front axle to the steering knuckle, enabling wheel steering. The steering knuckle is crucial for wheel steering, consisting of upper and lower forks and a shaft supporting the wheel hub. The brake assembly is responsible for braking. The wheel hub assembly bears pressure and is subjected to various dynamic forces. The control arms and tie rod assembly connect and transmit steering forces. These components work together to make the front axle play a vital role.

As the basic component of the front axle, the front axle generally adopts an I-shaped cross-section, with a concave center and upward-curving ends. This unique shape design effectively improves its load-bearing capacity and stability. The concave center lowers the vehicle's center of gravity, improving driving stability; the upward-curving ends better withstand the impacts of complex road conditions.

Although seemingly small, the kingpin is the unsung hero behind agile wheel steering. It precisely hinges the front axle and steering knuckle, acting like a bridge to smoothly transmit force, allowing the wheels to turn freely according to the driver's intentions.

The steering knuckle has a sophisticated structure; the coaxial holes of the upper and lower forks are used to install the kingpin, ensuring steering precision. The axle supporting the wheel hub provides stable support for the wheel and contains lubrication grooves to provide a good lubrication environment for components that are constantly in motion, reducing wear and extending service life.

The brake assembly is a key device for ensuring driving safety. Whether drum or disc brakes, they can quickly stop or decelerate the car in critical moments. Different types of air brakes and hydraulic brakes offer diverse options to meet the actual needs of the vehicle.

The wheel hub assembly constantly bears the pressure of the vehicle and must also cope with various dynamic forces during driving. It is supported by tapered roller bearings, and the tightness can be adjusted by adjusting nuts to ensure the wheels are always in optimal working condition.
