Independent suspension serves as a core load-bearing component of the semi-trailer chassis. Unlike traditional solid-axle leaf spring suspensions, this system features separate suspension structures for the left and right wheels, ensuring that movement on one side does not interfere with the other when encountering bumps.
The system integrates high-strength brackets, air springs, and shock absorbers. It utilizes air springs for cushioning and damping, delivering a smooth ride and excellent cargo protection-making it ideal for transporting fresh produce (via "Green Channel" priority lanes), precision goods, and oversized long-haul cargo.
Compared to standard leaf spring suspensions, independent suspension offers a smoother ride; it minimizes vehicle body sway when traversing potholes or rough terrain, thereby reducing the risk of cargo damage. Its lighter weight also frees up more payload capacity for the trailer. The air spring design simplifies maintenance, as individual air springs and shock absorbers can be replaced separately for convenient servicing.
